Introducing Merlin & Maverick!

Meet Merlin & Maverick my beautiful baby bunnies. They've been living with us for almost a month now and I'm in love. They are Dutch crossed with Netherland Dwarf bunnies so will stay pretty small.

On the way home

In a surprise to absolutely nobody I've given them aviation themed names, Maverick is of course named for my favourite films Top Gun and Top Gun:Maverick and Merlin is named after the Rolls Royce Merlin engine that powers Spitfires, Hurricanes, Mustangs etc etc.

Merlin

Maverick

Thankfully Merlin is also a pretty unisex name as when we brought them home we were under the impression that they were both boys but after their first vet visit for their jabs it turns out that Merlin actually prefers to identify as er female ..... Thank god we found out now! When they're fully grown Maverick will have to have the snip to make sure there are no unplanned 'Wingmen'.

Yep that's a Halloween food bowl from my first Halloween blog of last year

Like Estelle & Esme before them my 'Top Buns' (sorry not sorry) are living in the garden in a hutch and run built by Dad that they can access 24/7. Attached to this is a huge enclosure that they can go in during the day with room for me to sit with them.

They also love carrot cottages like Esme did and go through them in under a week 😆

They also love hay wheels from Auntie Helen

Synchronised washing is also a hobby

As is sunbathing ....

Personality wise Merlin is definitely the mischief maker, if one of them has their nose where it shouldn't be it's Merlin, if one is attempting to escape 'for a laugh' it's Merlin 😆 Maverick is a little more chill but is the absolute king of the binkies. He lives up to his name by being constantly supersonic.

They've got some toys from Auntie Tiffany's Napoleon Bunnyparte store but being typical kids were more interested in the box .

I'd forgotten how fast and energetic baby bunnies are, doing any kind of moving around the hutch or run involves a constant head count to make sure everyone is where they're supposed to be and not sneaking out.

Climbing along the tube is always an option apparently

They are adorable and I'm absolutely smitten with them. I'll never stop loving or forget my beautiful Estelle & Esme and I tell Maverick & Merlin about their sisters' antics every day. Eos is getting used to the new arrivals too, they keep making each other jump as they're small and zippy and she's big. They've briefly touched noses through the wire a couple of times so we're getting there bless them.

More bunny and Eos spam will of course follow.

Eos' Guide To Christmas Part 3 - Christmas comes to agility and I found a boat I liked 🎄🐾

 *Woofles, squeaks & butt wiggles*

Hello again! Jenni said I should post some photos that she took of me at agility this week. I go to The Big Barn and a nice lady called Angela runs the classes, she has two Border Collies too and they're nearly as ball obsessed as me!

The lady who owns the barn had put a Christmas frame up and Jenni made me pose in it.

I think I look very festive

They had a tree outside too so I had to pose in front of that too.

This is Jenni's tree in her room, I told her that it should be more colourful but she told me she's something called a goth so it has to be black.

Today Mummy, Jenni and me went for a walk at the harbour and we found a boat that's always decorated for Christmas called Mr Toad.

Here I am with it

I wish we could have Christmas trees at our door but Daddy said no just like Auntie does

Thank you for reading!

Eos' Guide To Christmas Part 2! I went to a Christmas Market 🎄🐾

                                         *Woofles, squeaks & butt wiggles*

Hello it's me again! Jenni said I should write another blog because everyone liked my first one so much!

On Thursday Mummy, Jenni and me went to Christmas In Little Chelsea to look at the stalls and decorations.

On the way we went into a shop called Maybugs which is doggie friendly and has pretty decorations for me to sniff.

Here are Jenni and me at the Christmas market -

I was very disappointed that Santa Paws wasn't there, I wanted to ask him for tennis balls and cheese ...

Here's also a photo of me at The Perch today, next week we're going for a festive afternoon tea there!

Thank you for reading!

Presenting! Eos' Guide To Christmas! 🎄🐾

 *Woofles, squeaks & butt wiggles*

Hello it's me Eos! Jenni says I can take over her blog to write all about how much I like Christmas decorations (but not as much as I like tennis balls and cheese).

In my efforts to reduce her Grinchliness I always drag Jenni (and Mummy but she likes Christmas) towards any Christmas displays that I see because I like all the colours, the sparkles and the smells (but I don't like the shrieking small humans ruining my Christmas peace).

One of my favourite Christmas displays is at Hillier's Garden Centre (and I get to sniff all the other interesting garden centre smells and sometimes Jenni shares the cream from her scones with me).

I'm ready to go in

I had lots of fun sniffing everything and I made Jenni buy my Auntie No an advent calendar with foxes on that look like ginger versions of me. Jenni and Auntie No call them Ginger Nos.

Jenni said I should put a photo in of Mummy and Auntie No so that people know what they look like so here we are at the park!

But now back to the Christmas!

Having a good sniff

I loved this Reindeer and so did Jenni but Mummy said we couldn't have it 😞

Ooooh pretty lights

Yep I definitely think Jenni needs another wreath for her room

I went to my favourite park Princes Park earlier (it's my favourite because we always throw my ball there) and they had some pretty lights in the cafe there called The Perch (Mummy, Jenni and Auntie No always eat cake there but ssssh don't tell anyone). We're having a Christmas afternoon tea there in a couple of weeks, I hope it includes cheese!

I hope you liked my first Christmas blog, if you did then tell Jenni to let me post more!

On The Hunt For Halloween Chapter 16 - Party Time!

My Kiki inspired outfit

Yesterday I had a very busy day getting the house suitably spooky for my party. As with last year I did a 'Haunted Hallway'.

Eos seemed to approve of the decor -

She appeared slightly less impressed with her Halloween collar charm .....

I also put the little cross stitches up again

Bottles

Black and White pumpkin patch

Before my terrible cooking was added

I put a couple of bits in the downstairs spare room and upstairs bathroom too -

The kitchen decorations -

Dad's been doing some work on the flooring so had some toolboxes at the bottom of the stairs which worked perfectly for some multi-level decorations!

By day

A walk from the kitchen to the hallway.

These were the living room decorations -

I love this scene inside a pumpkin

Halloween cushions

I think she was getting bored of posing ....

My costume this year was inspired by the Anime film Kiki's Delivery Service with a gothy twist.

With my trusty cat Jiji

Cape on

Halloween tights!

A cheeky Aperol and Gin before everyone arrived

We had a great night hanging out and catching up (even if Hilary and I weren't able to convince everyone else to watch Ancient Aliens 😂).

Party Ghouls

Stay spooky everyone!
