Hi guys it's time for another Halloween blog. After a second successful trip to TX Maxx I had a lovely trip to Brighton with Mum, Helen and Vana to (among other things) have a peer at what Homesense had to offer Halloween-wise.
Spoiler, it went well
Naturally Corney came along for the ride
We went to Wagamama to fuel up for the day's shopping and I indulged in a couple of cocktails ..
Helen had a cherry and rose lemonade
We had a wander through The Lanes looking in all the quirky shops and popped into Waterstone which was Jen-heaven (books and a cafe with a good tea supply what's not to like?).
Due to the very un-Halloween hot and sunny weather we thought it was sensible to cool off with some ice cream at Sprinkles Gelato which was a really pretty ice cream parlour with a 50s vibe.
Mum and Vana went for multiple flavour scoops
Helen and I went for these cherry sundaes (to continue with the day's apparently cherry foodstuff theme 😆)
Yum
Corney seemed to approve
After we were suitably refreshed it was time for Homesense! When Mum and I went over last year there wasn't a huge amount left, this year was a whole different story .... The whole bottom level was taken over by spooky goodies!!!
Plenty of kitchen utensils
Crockery
SO. MANY. CANDLES!!!!
My house would look like this 364 days of the year if I was given half a chance!
I love these snowglobes
Mum would kill me if I brought any more mugs home
With the huge range they had I feel I was pretty restrained in my shopping! Here's what I picked up -
I thought this could go on my Mabon altar before I hang it for Halloween
I like this light up scene inside a pumpkin
For my party
I picked this up to go with last year's potion bottles
Hocus Pocus is one of my favourite Halloween movies
And finally I got this beautiful glass pumpkin
And believe it or not the pumpkin got home in one piece!
After a successful start to the Halloween season (check out the first of this year's blogs here) I'm back with more!
After passing our local Next store and falling in love with a beautiful Moon Phase frame I decided to order it online and also have a look to see if they have a Halloween range. As you'll see here I wasn't disappointed!
I now have a new bedspread
And these adorable pumpkins
This one in particular matches my year round room decor
I've also found some adorable bits from independant shops. This little ghost is from my favourite witch supply website Moonchild Spiritual Emporium's Halloween section.
Continuing with the ghost theme, meet Agatha who came from the ETSY store MeganAndTheMoon
As you may be wondering from the title of the blog, I have indeed found myself a man!
Meet Tom of TK Maxx
He takes his name from Muppet Treasure Island
I think we'll be very happy together, he dresses gothic, doesn't critique my music or YouTube video choices and is permanently in the Halloween mood 💕💕💕
Whilst being woo-ed by Tom I took the time to find some more goodies.
I can see this being hung up year round
I'm thinking this will live on the windowsill
Some year round hand towels for my en-suite
Candles!
I wonder who I purchased this for .....
Finally I found this gorgeous Nightmare Before Christmas fleecy throw, one similar to this was about £40 on the Disney store site, this one was £13 .......
I'm off to Brighton on Thursday with Mum, Helen and Vana to visit their TK Maxx branch and of course Homesense!
On Friday after two years of waiting Luke, Corney and I finally went to Lady GaGa's Chromatica Ball! The show in support of her 2020 Chromatica album had been delayed by two years due to covid and it felt all the more celebratory due to the delay.
Chromatica pink hair and make-up by GaGa's Haus Labs
GaGa top and an unflattering yet fun skirt (#FuckFlattering though)
And an Eos cameo
As is tradition Luke and I had a journey gin on the train.
The show was at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (I entertained myself thinking of all Liverpool's recent victories over them) so we found a nearby pub The Beehive with a really nice outside area to have some drinks and Halloumi Fries.
Corney had to be snuck in as he's only 11 😏
I discovered a new love of vodka slushies ......
Paws up!
Soon it was time to head to the stadium and it hit me that it was actually happening, we were seeing GaGa!!!
We were pretty high up -
Which gave us an excellent view of the Mexican Wave 😂
Halfway through the set (during Babylon) GaGa moved through the crowd to a smaller stage in the middle to give those of us further back and higher up a better view.
I was finally able to hear GaGa's anthem of positivity, equally and self-love Born This Way and it was quite emotional for me as it's a song I turn to on my bad days to cheer me up.
For 'Shallow', 'Always Remember Us This Way' and '1000 Doves' she showed off her piano skills and amazing live voice.
The party started up again for 'Fun Tonight' and 'Enigma'
I was overjoyed that the encore song was Hold My Hand from Top Gun:Maverick as I adore the film (I may have seen it 4 times .... so far ...) and the song fits it perfectly.
I can't put into words how amazing the show was and how much fun I had. I really hope she comes back to see us Little Monsters again soon.
