May's been a really fun month for days out, it started off with the VE Day Flypast at the start of the month and I managed to squeeze 3 days out in a week at the end of the month.
I started off with a trip to London to see Top Gun:Maverick at the Royal Albert Hall. I decided to visit the V&A Museum for the first time in years. Unfortunately the Fashion section was closed (I love me some vintage Dior) so it was a shorter trip than normal. I did however visit the Japanese gallery and saw the beautiful paintings and textiles.
I also decided I need a Hello Kitty toaster ...
I had a quick pitstop at the Kensington Creperie for a strawberry, Nutella & cream crepe (if you're in the area they do the most amazing crepes).
I then headed to the Royal Albert Hall -

My ticket |
I was sat upstairs -
The film with the live orchestra was absolutely amazing, especially the string playing 'Danger Zone', hearing the score 'in person' really added to the emotion. I'm really hoping they show it again as I'd love to see it again.
The next day I was off to Brighton with Vana and Chris. For Vana's birthday we went to an 'Animal Crossing' event at the Sealife Centre.

Not sure if it was wetter inside or outside |
The Sealife Centre is the world's oldest aquarium and still has it's beautiful Victorian architecture.

Most importantly I met the cast of Finding Nemo!

DORY! |
After many fish-related puns (including declaring the pool the 'plaice' to be) and Finding Nemo quotes (Just keep swimming) we finished up at Las Iguanas.

Why choose between a Margherita or a Pina Colada when you can have both? |
Saturday was a very early start (5.30am anyone?) for a pick up to head to Glastonbury.
Listen to the birdsong at dawn -
By the time I left the house a really thick fog had come in and didn't burn off until the other side of Southampton.

This is possibly the most Glastonbury sign I've ever seen 😂 |
As soon as we arrived I headed straight to my favourite place, the Chalice Well . I've written so many times about how special the well is to me, it's the only place in the world that my anxiety doesn't invade and I always feel 'topped up' after spending time there.

Re-energising |
The well head -
I always like to bring something to show my gratitude to the well's energies so I left a small goddess cross-stitch at the head.
One of the things I love most about the well is all the different levels, above the well head is a meadow and below is a small garden full of flowers.
Below the garden is a waterfall and a pool where people paddle and immerse themselves in the healing waters of the well.
The final 'level' is a waterfall and grass. It's actually here when I like to sit and put my feet in the water.

And a charm for my bag |
I only had 4 hours to spend in the town so reluctantly I left the well and headed for the shops. I passed this artwork on the way which I don't remember noticing before.
Shockingly I didn't buy any books whilst I was in the town .... I know!!!! I did however visit Starchild.

I stocked up on lots of their candles -

I also got a new Goddess Temple Candle |
Since I'm a walking fire-risk I needed a bigger cauldron for my rituals and spells. Luckily The Wonky Broomstick were able to help.
I also picked up goodies from my favourite shop in Glastonbury White Rabbit -

I'm really excited as I've actually booked to stay a couple of nights in Glastonbury in October. It's the week before Halloween so the witchy-vibes will be off the scale!
In the meantime I'm off to London on Saturday for the annual Trooping The Colour flypast. Expect to be bored by photos and videos in a few days time 😏
Love Jen
